Help me help the animals

On Sunday May 1, 2011 my dog Otto and I will be walking in the Friends For Life Walk-a-thon, an annual fundraiser for the Ontario SPCA. I volunteer at the OSPCA Orangeville & District Branch, so I see first hand how much this organization does to protect, shelter and find homes for animals. I have adopted all 3 of my cats from the SPCA and have the greatest respect for everyone who works and volunteers there. They get no government funding so they rely on donations and fundraising events for all the money they need to run the shelter.

My goal is to raise $5,000 and this is where I need your help 🙂 I know this a lofty goal and a lot to ask from someone you don’t know, but what I do know is that like me you are an animal lover and can appreciate the financial struggles that a no kill animal shelter faces. I am asking you to sponsor me and Otto so that together we can help save the lives of innocent animals who don’t have a voice.

Here are some of the animals that have been at the shelter. Some have found loving homes, while others are sadly still waiting to be adopted.
