Daiya Vegan Cheese Review

I’ve heard a lot about this new vegan cheese from Daiya and picked some up so I could test it out. The cheddar flavor is amazing, it melts like cheese should and tastes like cheddar. I’m not so crazy about the mozzarella flavor though. I just don’t think it tastes as good as other vegan mozzarella’s that I’ve tried.
If you’ve tried Daiya cheese I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Claire! There's a vegan pizzeria here in Boston (Peace o' Pie) that uses (and sells) Daiya cheese. That's so funny because I feel the opposite….while I like the cheddar, I absolutely love the mozzarella. But it's amazing how it melts, stretches and is gooey. Oh cheese, how I've missed you all these years!!
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I will give it another try. It does melt amazingly well though.
Daiya is my favorite vegan cheese! I don't like their mozzarella plain, but I usually blend mozzarella and cheddar and that tastes really delicious.

I'm a HUGE Daiya cheese fan! It's much better than any other vegan cheese I've tasted.
I love Daiya – I don't know if I've had a meal without it since I discovered it a month ago!
I am a soy-free vegan, so it's so nice to have “cheese” again. I do like the cheddar better, but I think the mozzarella is great when it's melted on pasta.
