Ingredients

4 Pears
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 cups Red Wine
1 cup Water
1 Tbsp Black Pepper
2 Cloves
1/4tsp Nutmeg
1 heaping tsp Coconut Sugar (or cane sugar)
2 thin slices Ginger Root
Lemon Zest
1 bar Dark Chocolate

Directions

Combine all ingredients (except for pears) in a large pot.

Peel the skin off of the pears. Cut a small slice off the bottom of the pears so they sit upright nicely. Place the pears in the pot. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and boil for 30-40 minutes.

Place each pear in a bowl.

Melt chocolate in a pan over low-medium heat. Drizzle over the pear. Serve with a spoon and enjoy!
